Yangon Airways
Yangon Airways was established in 1996, as a
joint venture between Myanma Airways and
Krong-Sombat Company of Thailand. In 1997,
the MHE-Mayflower Company acquired the
Krong-Sombat shares.
Yangon Airways has become a principal
domestic airline in Myanmar flying scheduled
and charter flight services to 13 prime
commercial and tourist destinations in
Myanmar.
The corporate policy of Yangon Airways is to
take a progressive approach to provide the
finest service possible, and to maintain our
fleet to the highest standards of
operational readiness, safety, and
reliability.

better transportation, we contribute to the
development of the economic and social

Our Fleet
We operate new and reliable ATR-72
Turbo-Prop aircraft fitted with
state-of-the-art avionics systems. The
aircraft are maintained to the highest
standards according to JOINT AIR
REGULATIONS, and are EUROPEAN LICENSE
VALIDATED.
Our Staff & Crew
We employ only highly qualified personnel
from our flight and cabin crew to our ground
service maintenance staff. Our pilots are
qualified to international standards. Their
skills are updated regularly by on-going
training in flight simulators at the
manufacturer's Training Facilities.
Our cabin crews exemplify that famous
Burmese hospitality - Always caring,
gracious, and ready to pamper you. All
Yangon Airways Aircrew are all trained by
ATR in Toulouse, France and hold French
Licenses of competency. Our Engineers,
responsible for maintenance, have also been
trained by ATR, in Toulouse, France on
individual lines of maintenance. The
operation of aircraft and regular air safety
checks airworthiness by the French Civil
Aviation Authorities in collaboration with
the European Air Safety Authority. These
factors of precautions and regulations
enable Yangon Airways to maintain an
excellent record and high standard of safety
and punctuality to the satisfaction of our
customers over this period of 10 years. You
