Myanmar Visa on Arrival
The Good News for all the visitors to
Myanmar – from May 01 2010, the
government of Myanmar has upgraded the
former “pre-arrange on arrival visa”
service to fully functioning on-arrival
visa service, which means all the
visitors will be able to claim Myanmar
visa upon arrival at two of Myanmar
international airports, Yangon (RGN) and
Mandalay (MDY). However, it is highly
recommended to obtain the normal Myanmar
Visa at your home country before coming
to Myanmar if you are not sure with your
real background or profession as Myanmar
authorities will be very serious and not
reluctant to deport any visitors that
might cause troubles in terms of
national security and image of military
junta.

3.
On-Arrival Visa requirements
- On-arrival visa will be
available to any nationality holding
valid passport
- The passport must have at least
6-month remaining validity period
from the date of entry
- The applicant must be holding a
return ticket out of Myanmar
- The applicant must bring two 4 x
6 cm color passport photos taken not
earlier than last 6 months
- The applicant must be able to
submit the detailed address of the
lodging, such as government
registered hotels, motels, and inns.
- For the applicants who are
claiming for the social visit visa
must be able to submit the detailed
address of the lodging, such as
home, factory, workshop etc.
- The applicants must bring at
least US$300pp (or equivalent other
foreign currencies) for individuals
and US$600 (or equivalent other
foreign currencies) per family and
be able to show to the authorities
when it is asked.
- The on-arrival visa application
form is required to fill out and
properly signed at the airport
on-arrival visa counters once you
arrive. It is also possible to
download and print out our
on-arrival visa form here and fill
out before you arrive so that it
will take less time at the airport.
4. The
Administrative Body
There will be an administrative body
of eight officers from various
government ministries comprising,
Immigration, Foreign Affairs, Special
Police, Defense, Hotel & Tourism, and
Aviation. This administrative body will
be led by a deputy director from
Immigration, Manpower and National
Registration. The Myanmar visa
on-arrival will be issued or rejected by
a team of 15-officers as determined by
the administrative body.
