Yangon
– fly to Sittwe in the morning –
boat transfer to Mrauk Oo
In the morning, transfer to airport
and fly to Sittwe. Transfer to jetty
and embark on a private boat for
a 6-hr long upstream journey on
the Kaladan River to Mrauk Oo. From
the deck of your boat, observe daily
life of local people, taking photo
of villages, pagodas and temples
along the bank of the river. Transfer
to Hotel and overnight. |

Mrauk
Oo Full day Visits
Have your breakfast at the hotel
before visiting Mrauk Oo Archaeological
zone. Today’s highlight will be
included of Shitthaung pagoda -
a huge temple built by sandstones
and housed more than 80,000 Buddha
Images and the holy relics; Andawthain
pagoda - noted for its stone carvings
and floral ornaments; Dukenthain
- the Buddhist ordination hall;
and Pitakettike library. In the
afternoon, you will also see Laymyatnar
pagoda, Lungbwonbrauk pagoda, Archaeological
museum and enjoy the sunset from
Shwedaung Pagoda. Stay overnight
in Mrauk Oo. |

Mrauk Oo – excursion to Tattooed
Chin Tribe villages
Have your breakfast at the hotel
and then transfer to Sayoh jetty
(approx: 30 min). Then, take a boat
along the Lamyro River to the remote
Layhtoo Chin tribal village. The
women in this village are decorated
with tattoo on their faces. You
may try painting your face with
fake tattoo. Stroll around the village
or trek to another village before
returning to Mrauk Oo by boat. Stay
overnight in Mrauk Oo.

Mrauk
Oo - Sittwe
Have your breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the local market and the rest
of highlights of Mrauk Oo before
returning to Sittwe by boat. You
will have a picnic lunch on the
boat, while cruising towards Sittwe,
the capital of Rakhaing State. In
the late afternoon, drive to View
Point of Sittwe and enjoy the sunset.
Stay overnight in Sittwe. |

Sittwe
– fly back to Yangon (or to Ngapali
Beach – seasonal flights only)
After breakfast, visit to interesting
fish market of Sittwe. Also visit
to Sakya Muni Image (Ancient Style
since Vaisali Era), Maha Kuthala
Monastery, displayed with Rakkhine
(Arakan) antiques, Buddha images
from different periods, old Rakkhine
coins and other interesting materials.
If time’s permissible, visit the
Rakkahine Cultural Museum before
transfer to airport and fly back
to Yangon (or to Ngapali Beach).
