There are several day treks can be done
from your base in Kalaw that is suitable
for most visitors. These day treks can easily
combine with any of your classical journeys
– virtually any tours arriving from Heho
airport and overland drives from Bagan or
Mandalay that pass Kalaw. There is even
a half-day trek, which does not require
for an overnight stay in Kalaw, visiting
to a Palaung village with their traditional
longhouses.
