After two hours hike along the steep slopes where tealeaves and other seasonal corps are growing; you will firstly reach to a Palaung village of Ywathit (literally means New Village). Then, visit another village closed by called Taryaw, which is only 15-mins away and of the same tribe by passing through a forest of Tha-naq-phet (Sebastian trees) where the leaves used to wrap the Burmese Cheroots. Then head for the south for around 30-mins hike to reach the View Point, where you could enjoy the stunning sceneries of Shan mountain range while having your lunch. Afterwards, continue to Hinkhagone village of Danu tribe for around 1-hour and then another 1:30hr to Myindeik village of Taung Yo tribe, where the trains from Yangon and Mandalay make a stop to load flowers and vegetables produced in the region. Finally, take another 30-mins easy trek to the last village of the day, Ywapu for dinner and overnight stay with a family of Taungyo people.
2 Ywapu – Lupyin – Lamine – Bawkae – Konghla – Pathubauk – Hti Thein
Have your breakfast at Ywapoo village, before taking the longest walk of this trip. Today, you will turn east towards Inle Lake and enter the territory of Pa O tribe passing through scenic valleys and mild slopes growing cabbages, potatoes, raps, wheat, garlic and many other seasonal corps. As you walk by the farms, greet to the farmers or learn their socio-economic lifestyle. Leave Ywapu for Lupyin village where Taung Yo and Danu tribes live together for 30-min hike. Then to Lamine village of Pa O tribe for another 45-min across the motor-road that leads to neighboring Kaya State, and continue trek to Bawkae (also Pa O) for another 1:30hr. Afterwards, trek 30-mins to Konghla of Danu tribe for lunch break.
