Entrance Fees Breakdown
Here below is the cost of entrance fees
colleting at major pagodas, museums, and
cultural / archaeological zones. Entrance
fees are payable in US dollar or Foreign
Exchange Certificate (FEC) but not in local
currency, Kyat. Please note that these entrance
fees are collected by the government and
are unavoidable upon paying visit to any
of under mentioned places. At some places,
children under 11-yrs might be waived to
pay, but there is no exemption for the rest,
whether you are a student or be a diplomat
holding a tourist visa. And entrance fees
can be increased without prior notice and
there are several proposed tourist attractions,
which might also be colleted from time to
time, as the junta seems pretty much enjoying
the benefits. The cost of special permission
fees to areas like Mt Victoria, Puta O etc
and overland entry from Muse, Tachileik,
and Kawthaung may vary.
